Aspire Park

Located within Doha's Aspire Zone, it boasts a wide variety of facilities and is great for children and adults alike. It is a busy park during the winter months and summer evenings, full of families taking advantage of the green space to have picnics and spend time together.

Expanding over 880,000 square meters, making it Qatar’s largest green landscape and one of the most beautiful parks in the region. The Park goes into spiral paths which are specially designed for walking and jogging, thanks to the wood-chip and rubber tracks which are designed to alleviate any pain that can occur from exercising. The park also includes public football pitches, as well as basketball and volleyball courts.

The facilities are free for the community to use and include 8 mini football fields, 2 basketball courts and 4 multi usage courts (volleyball & basketball) that have been installed in different parts of Aspire Zone.

In addition, the park includes a total of 7 gym stations have been installed across the park, with nine pieces of equipment at each station. These facilities were unveiled on the National Sport Day in 2012 with the objective of leaving a lasting legacy and promoting healthy living. Available for use by the whole community, each station has an easy step-by-step user guide. Most of the equipment works on body resistance, making them ideal for both regular exercisers and novices.

Kids and families enjoy a tour around Aspire zone on the Aspire Train for a tour which can where they see the various venues and locations of Aspire in the comfortable train.

The lake at the heart of the park compliments the green landscape. Visitors enjoy the breeze from the dancing fountains as they cross the bridge that leads them to the other side of the lake. Visitors also enjoy watching the different types of fish that swim freely in the water as well as the water birds that show off their feathers on the sides of the lake.

Aspire park is adorned with trees of various genus and species with different form, structure, texture, growth and flowering habit.  The trees are aesthetically and meticulously managed with safety to public and environment. The beauty and elegancy of the trees is preserved by careful maintenance of their shape, form, structure, and biomass load by appropriate pruning methods and techniques.

The Aspire Park also took proactive steps to utilize when available local trees from existing sites, this process of salvaging the tree and transplanted into Aspire Park enable the Park to have a blend of imported trees and local salvaged trees. The countries the trees have been imported from are; Italy, Spain, South Africa, China, Thailand, Malaysia, Argentina and Australia .

Aspire Park showcases AZF’s commitment to servicing the community to ensure a sustainable lifestyle with the use of recycled materials to build up new venues and facilities. Many of these constructions available at the park have fascinating stories; the cottages for instance are made of ooredoo’s old wooden poles. The lights around the spiral footpaths in Aspire Park are solar powered, while the light poles within the park are relocated from Khalifa International Stadium. And finally, the Water in the Aspire Park Lake serves as a tank for the whole Zone.
